Field Notes

Description:

Dromedary camels are a terribly invasive species in Australia, and are even culled so they do not cause extinction among the native species. But in the Red Center many are domesticated and tame, being used to give rides to tourists, especially around Uluru.

Habitat:

Sandy, scrub-land deserts
