Field Notes

Description:

Really small and calm insect, around 1cm of size. Red with a black pattern.

Habitat:

Forest (not dense) on a mountain range near the sea. Around 260m high (unsure).

Notes:

This one was pretty calm, going around the plant curiously. I actually petted it with a finger and he ignored me completely.

Thanks! It does seem quite similar to a milkweed bug. Although James A McNair's ID was wrong, it was the clue I needed to find what this bug was for I had no reason where to look. And that's why I always value the suggestions. Thanks for the help!
