Field Notes

Description:

This is a small, low growing succulent, very drought tolerent. Leaves are about a half inch long and quarter inch thick, displaying succulence, and wedge shaped with three tiny, red/purple-ish 'horns' on the tip. Leaf color is a soft, dusky mint green. Stems are woody and grey brown. Flowers in Spring. Flowers are about the size of dimes, with soft-purple petals and cheery yellow center. Grows well in pots.

Notes:

This specimen is in a small hanging pot in my little yard. It was given to me by my father from his succulent collection.
