Field Notes

Description:

About an inch long. Looks like it may be a bug. Spring/lime green with a yellowy area behind the head that seems to spread on either side towards the first two legs. Behind it are two black, diagonal stripes that seem to spread down the last pair of legs. There's a lighter green spinal striped.

There are two antennae that are long. Appears to have size legs and large legs meant for jumping.

Habitat:

Garden.

Notes:

I was crouched in my yard, taking a picture with my cellphone of some dandelions. I went to shift my weight and realized there was a strange green bug on my pants. It was content to chill on my leg, I suppose it was a good vantage point over the sweet allysum for whatever it eats. But the camera spooked it and it ran around to the other side of my leg before fleeing towards the sweet pea in one mighty leap.
