Field Notes

Description:

It has the two bigger eyes and short small antennas. About 4 cm long.

Habitat:

I found this at the base of a banana tree in the grove by our dwelling. It crawled deeper and I followed.

Notes:

I saw a movement in the weeds by the base of a banana plant and searched for what it was and found this extraordinary insect. I ran for the ring flash to give more light.
