Field Notes

Description:

Small, skinny slugs about an inch long. Pale brown in color with two darker brown dorsal stripes.

Habitat:

Garden

Notes:

These slugs hangs out under a long, low planter I plant bulbs in. Cute little garden slugs. I like looking at them so I leave them bee and hope they leave my plants be. I try to garden in a non-chemical way that encourages both the predatory bugs and the mulch loungers like these sluggy layabouts.

Species ID Suggestions

Comments (1)

I've moved this slug from the Arthropod category to the Other category for you. Snails and slugs are Mollusks. Arthropods have an exoskeleton and jointed limbs in at least one phase of their life. Think dragonfly, bee, crab, and ant.
