Field Notes

Description:

These yellow flowers have two shades of yellow that are present side by side. A lighter yellow and a darker orange yellow. The bees and insects love them.

Habitat:

This year they are growing about 5 feet tall. They like lots of rain, though will grow with moderate amounts in the sunshine or shade.

Notes:

This bee had just landed on the flower and dropping as she did from her hovering position while being photographed she looked a little flustered.
Last year these flowers provided a perfect place to take pictures of bees.
