Field Notes

Description:

Egg shaped patterns on its wings.

Habitat:

Forested woodland with abundant flowers.

Notes:

The butterflies here are quite skittish. They are probably tired of being captured for collections. I stopped set the tripod and camera and waited. I was rewarded by this butterfly landing two feet away. Waiting and watching seem to be the operative steps in catching butter flies on the camera.
