Field Notes
Description:
This bee is 2 cm long and makes a drilling noise when it goes for the nectar. Heavy too as the bloom sags when they land.
Habitat:
Central Plateau, loves the flowering plants here on the edge of Antananarivo.
Notes:
I've seen two bees about the same size, but one looks a little more woolly. I have not taken a picture of the other bee yet. They demand respect with their size and directed efforts in feeding.
