Description:

These are american in origin but introduced in Europe as pets (Wikipedia NL:...De geelwangschildpad komt ook voor in het noorden van Mexico, maar in België zijn ze ook in putten en rivieren te vinden.)

Habitat:

Zoete Waters Lake.

Trachemys scripta is certainly correct, but I would not go so far as to call it a Cumberland slider. You would need to see the belly pattern to be certain. I would just leaver it at Pond Slider.
Interesting spotting! There are also invasive yellow-bellied and red-eared sliders in Belgium. Hopefully, one of the turtle experts can confirm your ID!
