It looks like Japalura splendida(Banana-split lizard) but it was not recorded from Indian region but from the region you have spotted this lizard may have probability of finding one..kindly post more photos if u have... http://reptile-database.reptarium.cz/species?genus=Japalura&species=splendida
a toxic lizard? hmmm, interesting. I thought maybe gliding lizard because it looked like it maybe had folded in winged membranes on its side. but kind of hard to tell from the photo. they do look similar though..thanks for the info

Hi Dan, this wasn't a gliding sort lizard for sure, it was crawling around moss covered rocks and the undergrowth. The locals told me that this one is highly toxic and is a sure shot ticket to wherever you wanna go in your afterlife ;)
