Field Notes

Description:

The females definitely seem to be the ones "who wear the pants" in the hummingbird world! Although there were still a few males around (most have already headed south), they were chased off whenever they tried to feed.

Habitat:

Ruscin Cave, Dickson TN

Notes:

We set up the camera on a tripod with several speedlights and waited for the hummers to oblige.
