Field Notes

Description:

Garter snakes hanging out in the crack in between the brick wall on front of house and window sill. When the coast was clear, they would spread out along that window sill to bask in the sun.

Habitat:

Urban, around a rented house in Springfield, MO, very close to several busy streets.

Notes:

I was studying herpetology at the time at Missouri State University, so I didn't mind seeing these little guys around the house.
