Golden thistle, yellow thistle - confusingly similar names, but separate genera. :)
Well....Tupa...I have spent some serious time searching - came up empty handed with the EXACT same flower also! Don't know....Some of these unknown IDs (even some of my own) continue to "buffalo" me to no end - it's a lot of fun researching - but a lot MORE fun whenever I find the right one!!! :)
Hey Sarah, thanks - I think you're right, it looks like a Yellow Thistle, but I haven't found exactly the same flower on the pics on the web.
Hi Tupa! This looks like a Yellow Thistle to me. Though today is the first time I even knew this type existed. I thought they were purple only. :) May be mistaken. But, it does have the characteristics of thistle.
