Field Notes

Description:

Bee, about as long as the tip of my thumb (and I buy gloves in the kids' department). Amber colored body with a few black bands around the tip of the but region.

Notes:

Bees LOVE borage and I've got quite a patch of it that came up this year in my little garden from plants that self-seeded last year. I went out this afternoon with my camera to photograph some of the buzzy ladies harvesting nectar from the blue borage flowers.
