Field Notes

Description:

5" tall, spring green colored leaves and stems. Leaves have a shape reminescent of maple leaves; five-pointed star shape.

Habitat:

North America

Notes:

This is a 'volunteer' seedling from a large monkey ball tree that was cut down several months ago. It is growing in a gravel covered dirt breezeway between buildings. This is a little light industrial area with rows of one story cinder block warehouses used mostly for autoshops. The property backs onto the rear of a small airfield, Montgomery Field.
