Field Notes

Description:

Small flower with 4 blue petals above and a bottom part that resembles a snapdragon, in white with a small yellow center. Grows about 12" tall, with opposite pairs of thin lanceolate leaves coming off a central stem.

Habitat:

cultivar in Butchart Gardens

Notes:

The garden horticulturist thought it might be "wandering Jew" (Tradescantia), but I have my doubts after looking at the photos of flowers from those plants, and having grown the indoor version before.

I'm wondering if it might be from the pea family.
I'm not sure this is Angelonia, but thanks for the name because I think it might match another spotting I was going to post.
