Thanks Manilie. The leaves look to me as something from the ginger family, Zingiberaceae, but I don't recognize that flower at all. I would love to see more spottings from the rainforests of the Philippines.
Dan, here's another shot of the plant, hope this will help with the ID otherwise I'll have to go back to the rainforest park sometime and see if it's still there, and might as well take more pictures of some interesting species there :)
I need to see more of the plant this flower is from to help with ID
