Field Notes

Description:

The cheetah is known as a the fastest running land animal. Endangered in the wild, there are fewer than 10,000 cheetahs in Africa and fewer than 100 in Iran.

Habitat:

Wild animal park

Notes:

This Lovely young adult Cheetah is the ambassador for the park. They have bred over 170 cheetahs since the late 1970's and their cubs become part of the species survival plan moving to other zoos. He has a mixed breed akita dog as a part time companion. I love how he posed with the fall color in the background. Taken through chain link

He did jump up on a platform to pose for us. With the chain link, I could get more than a head close up. But the lighting and background were perfect!
