Field Notes

Description:

This insect was sitting on a leaf, but underneath was a spider wrapping silken web. The insect has clear wings and triangular shaped head. Spiny back legs.

Habitat:

Forest, woodlands, shrubs and small plants.

Notes:

The wrapping was in progress as I knelt down to see why the insect didn't fly away. one strand at least was holding it. A young life cut short in its prime. Lunch for the spider.
