Field Notes

Description:

Normally these guys are a brilliant green color and sometimes so green they appear almost blue. This one is obviously brown which is due to it's living conditions. High humidity and low temperatures cause the color change. Low humidity and high temperatures will keep the frog at a lovely green shade.

Habitat:

This little guy is currently living in captivity at Tulsa Zoo. They are native to Australia and New Guinea. Small populations have been introduced to the United States mainly in Florida.
