What is more exciting than seeing a lion? a Group of lions!
What is more exciting than seeing a group of lions? group of lions with Cubs!!
It was so lucky that we met a group of lions with women & cubs in the evening. They are just going to the nearby river to drink water. There were 12 lions!! Our guide also said that we are lucky cause he also havent seen such a large group of lions before (some of them are out of the scene) ^^

Habitat:

Savanna, with trees preferred (mainly Acacia)

Notes:

IUCN: Vulnerable

uploading another story about them...but no convincing photos cause they're too close with the long lens! too close!
Yeah, they are great to watch but it's not so much that they are unafraid of humans ( which I'm sure they probably are) but that they are habituated to vehicles. They see vehicles so often that they don't see them as a threat or food source and act naturally around them. I think you'll find once you get out of the vehicle, they would act differently. Now they see you as a food source and aren't as comfortable in your presence. I've tested this theory, though not with lions but other large animals. I couldn't get nearly as close to them on foot as I could in a vehicle. Many animals scattered once they saw me approaching on foot but I could get very close to the same animals in a vehicle without them fleeing. This just happened to me in the Pantanal with capybaras and caiman, but I also experienced it a few years ago in Africa.
Sure, no problem. I have so many yawning lion pics! I really like your pic with the female shaking her head with her ears flopping.
Thanks for your suggestion~ I'm not used to that before @@ Yes!! super exciting!!! & because they're not that afraid of human, we can observed their lovely behaviour like yawning, sleeping, rubbing each other...
Very cool! Safaris are so exciting, aren't they!? I was lucky enough to see a pride of 9 lions - 6 cubs with 3 females. No males were around. We saw them later on their own. I noticed you didn't create any 'tags' for your photos. Might be a good idea, help people find your photos easier.
