Description:

Height- 12 inches. Many thin red petals in two or more arrays.

Habitat:

This was in a garden, but it is a native plant.

Notes:

A flower of a different shape. Thanks for the input on the I.D. everyone.

Yes I think you are right. That one is Gerbera jamesonii Adlam -- whose common name is Gerbera daisy. Here is some other information on that plant: http://www.plantzafrica.com/plantefg/gerberajames.htm
I think, it is the same flower as this spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5939198
Hard to tell but based on what I can see of the leaves and how the flower grows I would say Gerbera Daisy relative.
Looks like a relative of a chrysanthemum or Gerbera Daisy
