Field Notes

Notes:

small (around 15 cm maximum length from nose to tail tip but usually 8-12 cm only) and fast lacertidae with a taste mainly for lepidoptera (moths but also flies) and some fallen fruits :) They live all over the island but are most concentrated around the Troodos mountain range. They are diurnal but tend to rest during the hottest hours of the day, hiding in rock or substrate. Good jumpers! Very timid.

Hello. I spelled out in full the scientific name you used because the middle "L." was undefined. For information, many sources now call this species Phoenicolacerta troodica.
generally lizards don't get that close unless they have alterior motives:)
