Description:

Common garden snail, crossing the Costco parking lot.

Habitat:

Native to Europe

Notes:

Brought to the US in early 1900s by a man who'd eaten snails in France and wanted them in US. He reportedly dumped a bucket of them in his garden in New Jersey and they spread across the continent.
