Description:

Yellow water Lily towering over a sizable cupped leaf in a pond

Habitat:

Ponds- fresh water. I hope to get a better picture when we have more lilies in bloom. I can often tell the Season by looking at this pond.

Notes:

Kipling wrote the story "When the Butterfly Stamped" and in describing King Solomon's garden, the Lotus Lily is mentioned.
