Description:

The Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) is a genetically distinct subspecies of the wolf found in North America. It is also one of the smallest subspecies, reaching a length not exceeding 135 cm and a maximum height of 80 cm. Weights vary from 27 kg to 45 kg.

Habitat:

Extinct in the wild

Notes:

One of the last individuals in captivity.
