Chickasaw Indian Basin (Wolf River Bottoms)

Notes:

Beautiful owl just sat on the log while we watched it no zoom used we could walk up to it. Soon as we left it flew off. I am not sure if I identified correctly help me out if I'm wrong

Barred owl- I live near Memphis and we have them too. They wake us up at night with all of their racket!
Yep, definitely looks like a Barred rather than a Short-eared
I would agree on the barred owl, its too small for a great gray and its not marked to be one.
