Yes, thats why I am not so sure about the Tegenaria...all images I found on google and wiki(s) have shown much brighter legs (and/or patterned)...maybe it's an early state of development?
That is really dark. Tegenaria tend to be lighter in my experience. Also I don't think its legs are long enough. They tend to be really leggy beasts. That said I have never seen one outside England so it could be. I'll have a hunt about and see if I can help with the ID.
