Description:

Approx. 1.5in. in length this beetle is one of the largest in the long-horned beetle family.

Habitat:

Cottonwood trees in and throughout the plains. The larva and adults depend on this tree.

Notes:

Very fasinating, but startling as I'd never seen a beetle this big in Oklahoma before!!
