Majestic animal! Please add your amazing pics to "Rhino Horn is Not Medicine" mission to help raise awareness! http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/12848241
I've seen a similar mis-tagging thing from another iphone app. It's a common mistake in the code to take the location when the user uploads the photo instead of when they take the photo, or by reading the exif tags in the photo if they are picking one from the library. Even at walking speed the time it takes to get through filling in the rest of the meta data you can be a significant distance away before you transmit it back.
Cheers Yasser :-)
Sarit, I've edited this spotting with the information you've provided and we'll look into the issue your experiencing and contact you directly. Thanks for your patience.
Thanks Yasser, I can't seem to edit the spotting as it no longer appears as a spotting on my current log in.
Hey Sarit, welcome aboard and no worries on the location issue! We're working to improve that process. For now, you can click on "edit this spotting" on the top right and reassign the location in the little map window. If you have any issues, we can help you do it. Just let us know by commenting here or emailing us at [email protected]. Thanks for sharing!
Sorry chaps, this mum and calf were spotted at Phinda Private Game reserve in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. I uploaded the pic from my phone when I got back to Auckland and that's where the error occurred. Don't quite know how to correct it.
Well, it does say African Bush for the habitat - must be a very powerful telephoto lens!!!
I think your coordinates are out. There are no rhinos wandering around Auckland apart from the zoo. And this is not a photo of the zoo enclosure.
