Field Notes

Description:

A vivid red flying beetle that quickly walked about when we first went up to it before flying away. Around 25mm in length and a really striking colour!

Habitat:

We found it on a tree stump by some mushrooms. The tree stump is next to a woodland area in the middle of a large heath area.
