I saw this Alligator in the Flordia everglades

Habitat:

Swamps and rivers live all around southern united states

Notes:

This was an excellent oppertunity for me

Chinese Alligator

Alligator sinensis

The problem here is that this is a Chinese Alligator (Alligator sinensis). The telling feature are the osteoderms that are covering the sides and belly, which you can clearly see in the photo. The American Alligator doesn't have this feature. So, what's the story here?
