Field Notes

Habitat:

These Leaf-footed Bug (nymphs) were spotted on a Hyacinth bean (Lablab purpureus L.) at the back corner of our house. This plant is known as Bataw, in the Philippines and it seems to be the favourite host plant of Homoeocerus puncticornis.

Notes:

Coreidae; Coreinae; Homoeocerini; Homoeocerus puncticornis Burmeister, 1834. The Leaf-footed Bugs in my photos are mid to late instar nymphs. According to https://www.ibiol.ro/zoology/RJB-Z-66/pd........ this is the Type Species of the Genus Homoeocerus.
