Field Notes

Description:

Approximately 4 inches long with a wing span of about 8 to 10 inches. Small teeth with flat nose. Body covered in fur of brownish to gray color.

Habitat:

Northern Michigan with temperature currently in the mid 50's. Bat was hiding between screened window of a small cabin and the winter board. Seems to prefer dark spaces, slightly humid and protected from the harsh winds coming from the lake.
