Description:

I went to a local nature reserve with some friends, and we found this pheasant with his hen (who remained mostly hidden in a bush on her eggs). I think he was just showing off for this picture.

Habitat:

Found in woodland, scrubland and wetlands

Yeah, sadly this guy had an injured leg, so wasn't going anywhere fast! He was very close to the rangers' station though, and they told us they were trying to get him to the vet's later that day. So he's okay now :)
