Field Notes

Description:

about 3" long

Habitat:

sandstone canyons, forest,

Notes:

Spotted this in Isalo National Park. I was on the Grand Tour of the park. An epic 6 day trek covering 47 miles (75km) of rugged terrain exploring all the interesting areas of the park. The trail is only trekked once or twice a year, though at times there wasn't even a trail to follow. An older guide just knew the way.

Thanks Saturniidae for the ID suggestion, I think you're right with the genus.
