Description:

Long beans cultivated in this mountainous area of Madagascar. The cultivars used here are the ones mainly used in vanilla production world wide.

Habitat:

Mountainous areas of Northern Madagascar. Lot's of rain.

Notes:

Not a native of Madagascar, but they have sure cultivated it here pollinating by hand. The last picture shows the cultivated plant propped up for sun exposure and the health of the plant.
