Thanks, Latimeria for narrowing it down a little. I went BACK to Bugguide.net, and the edit is my new best guess.
Definitely not a beetle, but you're on the right track with stink bug. I'm not sure what kind, but check out Bugguide.net, you might be able to figure it out from there.
I've added a picture of the babies that hatched this morning (5/9).
