I now agree with Jonathan, after looking up Clerodendrum bungei...he's definitely right....not an allium after all!
The leaves I see and the stem looks to me like Clerodendrum bungei .
Yes it is! I took 1 root out in the woods by a lake 7 years ago and it has spread all over the place, very invasive! Only blooms in spring,
This looks like an "Allium Globemaster". Is it growing on a long, slender stalk?
