Description:

The mute swan can be distinguished from other swans by the orange, black-knobbed bill.

Habitat:

Photographed on fresh water pond.

Notes:

Adults of this large swan can measure 4-6' long, have a wingspan of 6-8', and may stand over 4'. They can be aggressive and may be strongly territorial.
