Killdeer eggs

Please add this spotting to the Animal Architecture mission at http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8082378 While it doesn't look "created," this is called a scrape nest and has been modified by the parents before laying.

I was with TonyM when he spotted these eggs. They were out in the open on the mulch of a shrub bed about 20' from a major highway. It does seem like a strange place to put a nest. Apparently the spots on the eggs are meant to disguise them as stones.

Kildeer nests are always built out in the open, usually along roadsides. Seems like they'd get run over easily!

mulch seems like an odd place for those eggs...they are not very well camouflaged.

Interesting Tony. I think you have to change the location though, its listed as Buffalo, Canada.
