Some of the flowers name Rose of Sharon , are :Hibiscus syriacus.... The thing is you set two difernt flowers....
Yes, Alice - I just googled Rose of Sharon and they do look very similar.

It is strange , but it reminds me of Rose of Sharon. It was my favorite when I was a little girl.
Looks to me like a Malvaceae, Hibiscus sp, I can see numerous stamens, united to the long column....
