Description:

Young foliage, annual in north, self-seeded from previous year.

Habitat:

Native habitat: Grows well in grassy open areas, and other disturbed biomes: western United States throughout California, extending to Oregon, southern Washington, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, and in Mexico in Sonora and northwest Baja California. Notes:

In garden with little soil, mostly mulch, which drainage stone underneath.
