Field Notes

Description:

Has a mean look about it...maybe a sap sucking Assasin bug or something.

Habitat:

Just landed on the net designed to keep mosquitoes out...this net is a good place to spot other insects too. Urban residential area. Since the light was not goo, I gently transferred it to a leaf...took a better shot and let it go free.

:) Tukup...but :( I did not notice the " beak". Actually hadn't even known. So, did not look. Next time!
Good grief. That should read "assassin bug". Sorry about that 🙄
Pretty sure this is an assassin but Sukanya, but I couldn't find any matches. Since you handled it, did you notice if it had the customary "beak" that the assassins have? They're pretty cool but sometimes hard to ID. Thanks for sharing this, whatever it is.
