Description:

Brown, jelly-like mushrooms shaped like ears.

Habitat:

Found on an oak tree limb.

Notes:

Edible, full of dietary fiber.

Perhaps you're right, but it was growing on a live oak, and not the typical willow, poplar, or alder. It also felt closer texturally to the description of Tree Ear. I'm new to this, so it's helpful to have these comments. Thanks!
