Field Notes

Description:

This is plant about 3 feet tall. It has long oblong leaves with holes of various sizes. There are 4 to 6 other branches with these curious leaves.

Habitat:

This one is growing in the shade of a bamboo hedge under a French Pine on our ramble scramble compound.

Notes:

Spiders utilize the holes for webs.

It's also known as Swiss Cheese plant. I have one in my houseplant collection. It is a climber and the holes in the leaves allow wind to pass through so it won't get blown off a tree during strong winds. Not sure who you're talking about when you say 'you're' suggestion but I am going to guess its me since we discussed adding more views on spottings. I'm glad to see you're doing it already.
I finally used your ID suggestion on my mystery photo. I added a view of the hole plant for ID purposes :)
