Notes:

I spotted this gecko during a nightwalk around the abandoned picnic area beside lake Bulusan. I pitched my tent here and slept beside the lake.

I love the concept of bioluminescence! Glow-in-the-Dark Gecko? That would be awesome. haha

Dan: You might check out the UV Pak-lite which runs off a 9 Volt battery. I have a green LED one at it runs forever.

It's funny you say that Joseph. I'm going to purchase a UV flashlight this summer to bring on my next trip to look for scorpions and to attract insects at night. I never thought to shine it on a gecko, but I will and let you know.

This photo was taken at night but he didn't appear to be glowing at all. I think bioluminescence is so cool. Not sure if there are any bioluminescent geckos? Is he bio-luminescent? Did you see him much in the dark?

The body marking is telling me Cyrtodactylus annulatus but a) the feet are not of the bent-toed geckos and 2) the range of annulatus is far from here. The number of Philippine gekkonid lizards includes ten genera and 42 described species as of present (more are expected to be discovered).

Hahaha! I was thinking the same thing but thought.....no, it can't be! but what color is it?
