Description:

A fragile spider with a body length 2-10 mm and legs up to 50 long.

Habitat:

Granddaddy long-legs are web weaving spiders and distributed worldwide in damp and dark recesses and warm, dry places such as windows and attics.

Notes:

Despite urban legends to the contrary, the venom of granddaddy long-legs is not injurious to humans.
