Field Notes

Description:

Might be a Brown-spot Bush Brown, Bicyclus madetes or a Velvet Bush Brown, Bicyclus istaris. Hard to ID these Bush Browns...

Habitat:

Maramagambo forest. Second photo shows habitat.

Notes:

I appologise for the poor shot! Taken in a dark part of the forest, I was never very good at low light shots! None of the photos that I took in this forest, came out well, but I have included them for the record.

thanks kdpicturemaker, you are sweet! I like to make a record of the species I see in any particular area, but it is always nice to know others appreciate them also, as I am not the best photographer, by any means!
A beautiful photo though for both its ID purpose and artistic quality! There are so many beautiful and unique butterflies in your collection.
